U18 AAA Central Region Championship

The 2025 U18 AAA Central Region Championship will be hosted by the Hockey Eastern Ontario Branch of Hockey Canada. The Host team is TBD. The Championship is scheduled to take place from March 31 – April 6, 2025.

Upper Canada Cyclones to Host U18 AAA Central Regional Championship, March 31–April 6, 2025

The Upper Canada Cyclones (UCC) AAA Hockey Association, a proud member of Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO), is thrilled to announce that it will host the prestigious U18 AAA Central Regional Championship for the 2024-2025 season. This highly anticipated event will bring together some of the best young hockey talent from the GTHL, NOHA, OMHA, ALLIANCE Hockey, and HEO in a tournament-style championship that will determine the advancing team, who will participate in the 2025 TELUS Cup, Canada’s national U18 hockey AAA championship, hosted at the BC Chilliwack Coliseum in late April.

This year’s Central Regional Championship will take place in the vibrant town of Kemptville located in the community of North Grenville, known for its passionate hockey fans, strong sporting traditions as well as being home to the Kemptville 73’s Jr. A team. Players, coaches, and fans alike can look forward to an exceptional showcase of skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the North Grenville Municipal Centre is a state-of-the-art complex, located off Highway 416 approximately 30 minutes from the Nation’s Capital. Ample parking is provided for passenger vehicles and coach buses. Inside the facility are two NHL sized rinks with seating for 2,000, a canteen and pro shop.

UCC and HEO are committed to delivering a world-class experience for players and spectators. The event will include community engagement opportunities, entertainment, and activities for all ages, ensuring an unforgettable experience both on and off the ice.

About the hosting U18 Upper Canada Cyclones Team: The UCC association is a cornerstone of AAA Hockey Eastern Ontario and this seasons U18 Clones are a well balanced powerhouse, coached by Steve Norton and Brad Kuruliak, the squad is currently leading the league with an impressive record of 15-4-2. The roster includes OHL Draft Picks, six players and two goaltenders that represented UCC at the U15 AAA All-Ontario Championship, three players selected to take part in the U16 HEO 2023-2024 Cross Border Challenge, vital new contributors to the team, and several players ranked in the top 10 as point producers in the league.
